Our client is a Brussels-based European purchasing alliance, co-founded in 2016 by two top retail groups and expanded in 2023 to include a major third partner. They negotiate branded FMCG products-grocery, frozen, detergents, cosmetics, beverages-across multiple EU markets.

Beschrijving van de functie

Key responsibilities of the International Purchasing Expert:

• Compile data and craft marketing presentations to support negotiation strategy.
• Help structure negotiation arguments alongside partner-company negotiators.
• Create decision-ready documentation for internal stakeholders.
• Analyse new product assortments and manage pricing data in selection tools.
• Facilitate communication with shared-service teams and country teams.
• Manage administrative duties: meeting setups, minutes, data entry during annual negotiations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects (category analysis, performance metrics, tool optimisation).

Jouw profiel

Ideal International Purchasing Expert profile:

• A bachelor's or Master's degree in international business, procurement, or agri-food.
• Fluent English and French, Dutch is a plus
• At least 3 years of experience in FMCG or Food sector
• Proactive, can-do attitude with strong communication skills.
• Exceptional organisation, attention to detail, and teamwork capability.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
