Our client is a major player in the energy and services sector, with a dedicated Business Unit focused on Building Services and digital transformation initiatives. This BU, recently created, combines operational activities (installation & maintenance of buildings such as hospitals, schools, and public infrastructures) with strategic and digital projects.

As a Freelance Senior Legal Counsel your responsibilities are:

• Provide legal support to the Business Unit on public and private contracts
• Advise on public procurement legislation and ensure compliance
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts (long-term and short-term)
• Act as a business partner to operational teams across the BU
• Proactively engage with stakeholders to identify risks and provide solutions
• Handle new and complex legal cases where no predefined solutions exist
• Support project teams throughout the lifecycle of contracts
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across legal and operational teams

Jouw profiel

A successful Freelance Senior Legal Counsel should have:

• Proven experience as a Legal Counsel, ideally in construction, engineering, or similar sectors
• Strong knowledge of public procurement law and legislation (must-have)
• Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to work autonomously and engage with multiple stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and business partnering approach
• Comfortable working in a fast-evolving and newly structured environment
• Languages: French and Dutch
