What do you do as a System Engineer?
 
As a System Engineer, you design, implement and continuously improve the IT infrastructure and systems of our customers. You focus on building stable, scalable and secure environments that support the business and reduce operational incidents. You translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure systems are designed for performance, reliability and future growth. In this way you help our customers focus on their core business while relying on a robust IT environment.
 
Your challenges

• You continuously improve the overall IT landscape for our customers by designing and implementing modern infrastructure solutions.
• You analyse existing environments and identify opportunities for improvement. Based on insights from incidents, performance metrics and customer requirements, you design and implement structural optimisations that increase stability and efficiency.
• You take ownership of the design, deployment and lifecycle management of systems and platforms. This includes planning and implementing upgrades, migrations, expansions and new technologies to ensure systems remain secure, performant and future-proof.
• You investigate recurring issues at their root and implement structural solutions rather than temporary fixes. By automating processes and standardising environments, you reduce complexity and operational overhead.
• You collaborate closely with system administrators, support teams and specialised engineers to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure knowledge sharing across teams.
• You advise customers and internal stakeholders on improvements, innovations and investments that enhance the reliability, security and scalability of their IT infrastructure.

Your talent

• You have strong analytical skills and enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges. You look beyond individual incidents and focus on structural improvements and long-term solutions.
• You are able to translate technical concepts into clear recommendations and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must haves

• Several years of experience in IT infrastructure or system engineering
• Solid knowledge of networking and security principles
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
• Microsoft ecosystem (Windows Server, O365, Azure, Exchange, ADFS)
• Virtualization platforms
• Monitoring and management tools (SCCM, SCOM)
• Infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell)
• Driving license B
• Drive and flexibility
• Strong communication skills
