Senior Accountant: Pivot of a Finance Team M/V/X

A well-established player in specialised distribution, this international group operates from its Belgian headquarters across several European countries. Purchasing, logistics and financial analysis are all managed from Anderlecht, placing the Belgian accounting department at the heart of the group's operations.

Around fifty employees on site, offices easily accessible by car with parking available, and a no-nonsense structure where people are straightforward, decisions are made quickly and every figure has a real operational reality.

Your responsibilities

You play a central role between the chief accountant and the accounting team, with a broad scope and concrete responsibilities.

• Daily cash management: payments and intercompany domiciliations.
• Analysis and optimisation of key cost items.
• Participation in monthly and annual closings, with particular attention to provisions and accrued invoices.
• Progressive ownership of Belgian VAT declarations, currently handled externally.
• HR administrative management.

This scope is expected to evolve in line with the company's needs and your development over time.

Jouw profiel

The profile we are looking for

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, required.

Experience: At least 10 years of experience in accounting. You are comfortable with cash management, closings and cost analysis.

Languages: You are fluent in French or Dutch, with a good command of English for exchanges with the group's foreign entities.

Personal qualities

• Rigorous and autonomous, with a proactive mindset rather than a reactive one.
• Able to read between the lines of a cash flow statement and anticipate discrepancies.
• Comfortable dealing with a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally.
• Reliable and committed across all tasks.
