As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the company's financial operations. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager and working within a team of 25 finance professionals, you will operate in a dynamic, complex, and challenging environment.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Managing and supervising general ledger accounting in line with Belgian GAAP
• Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Preparing accurate financial statements and performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Drafting statutory accounts and annual reports
• Supporting group reporting activities

Tax & Compliance

• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, Intrastat declarations, and other Belgian tax filings
• Supporting corporate income tax calculations and compliance
• Acting as a key contact for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities
• Ensuring full compliance with Belgian legal and accounting requirements

Operations & Projects

• Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, and fixed assets
• Improving accounting processes and strengthening internal controls
• Contributing to ERP and system optimization projects
• Participating in cross-functional and international initiatives

Jouw profiel

Your Profile:

You are a highly skilled accounting professional who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment and brings strong technical expertise.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience in Belgium
• Very strong technical accounting skills, with deep knowledge of Belgian GAAP and VAT
• Good understanding of Belgian corporate taxation
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Odoo, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Fluent in French and Dutch
• Professional proficiency in English
• Accurate, structured, and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Able to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
