Our client is an ambitious player in the Belgian financial services ecosystem, with the mission to ensure broad access to cash services throughout Belgium.

In a context of growth and transformation, the company is looking for a hands-on legal professional able to combine strategic thinking with pragmatic business support.

Beschrijving van de functie

As a Solo Legal Counsel your responsibilities are:

• Provide legal advice across the company's operations.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts with partners, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Manage legal risks related to governance, compliance, projects and operational matters.
• Support Board of Directors, shareholders and annual accounts-related topics.
• Handle disputes and litigation matters, in coordination with external counsel.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance.
• Act as the main legal sparring partner for C-level executives.

Jouw profiel

A successful Solo Legal Counsel should have:

• 5 to 10 years of relevant legal experience, gained in a law firm and/or in-house.
• Solid expertise in commercial, corporate, financial services, regulatory or competition law.
• Experience in financial services, payments, regulated industries, multi-site operations or real estate is a strong plus.
• Excellent knowledge of Belgian law and a good understanding of EU regulations.
• Experience with litigation or dispute resolution is an asset.
• Fluency in Dutch and English
• The ability to work autonomously and translate legal complexity into clear business advice.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• High integrity, sound judgement and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders.
