Talencia is looking for a DevOps NGINX Engineer for one of its clients.
 
Location: Brussels
Start date: ASAP 
Duration: Long-term 
 
Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in Networking and Security environments.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented and proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• English is mandatory (written and spoken).
• French and/or Dutch is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

 
Technical Requirements
Operating Systems & Security

• Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Excellent knowledge of SELinux administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with system hardening, patching, and performance tuning.

 
Automation & Configuration Management

• Strong expertise in Ansible.
• Ability to develop and maintain playbooks, roles, and inventories.
• Infrastructure automation and configuration management experience.

 
Web & Network Services

• Expertise with NGINX / NGINX+ as Reverse Proxy and Load Balancer.
• Experience with F5 ApProtect Web Application Firewall.
• Experience with OPSWAT MetaDefender AV/AM solutions.
• Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols and web security concepts.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, TLS, and DNS.

 
DevOps & CI/CD

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience designing and implementing YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Azure Repos, Artifacts, and deployment pipelines.

 
Version Control

• Advanced Git knowledge:
• • Branching strategies
  • Rebasing and conflict resolution
  • Tagging and cherry-picking
  • Pull request workflows

 
Scripting & Programming

• Strong Bash scripting skills.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge of Java is considered an asset.

 
Working Conditions

• The consultant is expected to be present on-site in Brussels at least once per month. Additional on-site presence may be required depending on project needs.
