As the Manager of the M&N FAB Core Facility, you will be responsible for the technical and operational management of the facility. Your responsibilities include:. Coordinating the daily operation of the Core Facility and ensuring the continuity of its technical services.. Managing the operation, maintenance, repair, installation and troubleshooting of cleanroom equipment.. Coordinating equipment maintenance with KU Leuven Technical Services, suppliers and external service engineers.. Supporting, optimizing and further developing semiconductor fabrication services and standard cleanroom processes.. Develop and implement new fabrication processes together with researchers from MNS and other research groups.. Providing service processing to external partners from industry, institutes and other universities, based on expertise and specialized knowledge.. Managing health, safety and environmental aspects of the cleanroom, and responsible for the training of all users in these aspects.. Maintaining technical documentation, standard operating procedures and equipment records.. Supporting and sometimes initiating the writing of grant applications that have a focus on process development.. Managing user access, booking, logging and administrative systems of the Core Facility.. Maintaining the website, social media platform, and supporting the financial administration of the Core Facility.. Promoting the Core Facility through outreach activities, guided tours and communication with internal and external stakeholders.. Building collaborations with KU Leuven researchers, external institutes and industry to further develop the Core Facility.. Representing Core Facility at national and international level, including organizing conferences and meetings.

Jouw profiel

We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented professional with a strong technical and relevant background. The ideal candidate:. Has knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and experience working in a cleanroom environment.. Enjoys hands-on work with advanced scientific and high-tech equipment.. Has experience with equipment installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical interventions.. Has experience with health and safety management in laboratory or cleanroom environments.. Is a strong organiser with excellent planning and communication skills.. A Master degree in electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering or a related discipline is required. Experience as a PhD is a bonus, likewise experience in industry or an institute in micro- and nanotechnology or semiconductor fabrication or cleanroom operations.. Enjoys working with users from academia and industry and can build strong professional relationships.. Works independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.. Is proactive, service-oriented and solution-driven.. Has an excellent command of English. Knowledge of basic level of Dutch is an asset and willing to learn more.
