A hands-on Network Architect role where Juniper and Fortinet meet complex, business-critical infrastructure.

Our partner is aninternational technology organisationoperating critical digital infrastructure. As part of the continued development of their infrastructure environment, they are looking for aNetwork Architectto join a highly skilled and collaborative technical team.

This is not a purely conceptual architecture role. You will move betweenarchitecture, design, implementation and production support, working with modern networking technologies and having a direct impact on the resilience and evolution of the infrastructure.

Your playground? Juniper, Fortinet, BGP, DNS, security and distributed infrastructure.

• Design and evolvenetwork architecturesacross complex and distributed production environments, from high-level concepts to low-level technical designs.
• Work hands-on withJuniper networking and Fortinet security technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls and network segmentation.
• Contribute toBGP, DNS/DNSSEC, high-availability and distributed infrastructure, with a strong focus on resilience and security.
• Drive improvements aroundautomation, monitoring and observability, using technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, Prometheus or Grafana.
• Collaborate withInfrastructure, Security, Architecture and Software Engineeringteams, while challenging and validating technical solutions delivered by external partners.
• Maintainarchitecture documentation, diagrams and technical standards, while supporting troubleshooting, lifecycle management and production environments.

Jouw profiel

• 7+ years of experiencein network, infrastructure or systems engineering, with strong exposure to critical production environments.
• Strong expertise innetworking, including TCP/IP, routing, switching and protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
• Solid hands-on experience withJuniper and Fortinet- this is a key part of the role.
• Good understanding ofLinux, DNS/DNSSEC, firewalls and high-availability/distributed infrastructure.
• Exposure tovirtualisation, containers, private cloud or Infrastructure as Code(VMware, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, etc.) is a strong plus.
• Analytical, pragmatic and hands-on mindset, with the ability to move from architecture and design to implementation and production troubleshooting. Fluent English is required.
