About the Role

We are looking for a Dutch-speaking Java / MuleSoft Developer to join our team on a hybrid basis in Antwerp. You will design, develop, and maintain integration solutions and Java-based applications, working with modern tooling including Java 21.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop integration flows and APIs using MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform)
  
• Build and maintain backend services in Java (version 21)
  
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems
  
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other developers
  
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
  
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical best practices
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Fluent in Dutch (mandatory) and good command of English
  
• Strong experience with Java (21 preferred)
  
• Hands-on experience with MuleSoft (Anypoint Studio, Mule 4, DataWeave)
  
• Experience building REST APIs and integration solutions
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git
  
• Ability to work independently and in a team
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Spring Boot
  
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
  
• MuleSoft certification
  

Practical Details

• Location: Antwerp, Belgium
  
• Work model: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote per week
  
• Start: ASAP
  
• Contract: Freelance / CDD
  
• Rate/Salary: Negociable
