We are looking for a GRC Information Security Officer (Junior) to join the Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team of a leading international organization.
This role focuses on supporting security governance processes, risk management activities, and security exception management. You will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders while contributing to the continuous improvement and maturity of the organization's security governance framework.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior cybersecurity professional looking to develop expertise in Governance, Risk & Compliance within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and support Information Security risk assessments.
• Follow up on risk mitigation plans and remediation actions.
• Manage security exceptions and track compliance deviations.
• Guide stakeholders through security governance processes and requirements.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, KPIs, and management presentations.
• Participate in operational and stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and governance processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of security governance practices.

Required Experience

• 1 to 3 years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or GRC-related activities.
• Candidates with up to 4-5 years of experience may also be considered.
• Recent graduates without professional experience will not be considered.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of Information Security principles and practices.
• Knowledge of core IT and security concepts, including:
  • Network Security
  • Network Segregation
  • Infrastructure Security Fundamentals
• Ability to perform or support security risk assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and progressively take ownership of activities.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Full-time availability (5 days per week).
• Must be based in Belgium.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GRC platforms such as ServiceNow GRC, RSA Archer, OneTrust, or similar tools.
• Experience in a regulated environment or pharmaceutical industry.
• Security certifications (ISO 27001, Security+, or equivalent).
• French and/or Dutch language skills.
