Position Overview 
 
DigiTribe is looking for a Data Engineer who thrives in an Agile environment and plays a key role in delivering value to our clients. As a Data Engineer, you contribute to strategic data initiatives. You will design, build, and optimize modern data pipelines while working closely with our experts and clients to deliver reliable, high impact solutions. 
 
Key Responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines  
  
• Design and optimize modern data architectures (batch, streaming, cloud-based) 
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver data solutions efficiently  
  
• Ensure data quality, availability, and security across data platforms  
  
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, processes, and standards  
  
• Create and maintain clear, concise, and effective documentation
  

 
Skills & Qualifications 
 
Technical Skills 
 
Must have 

• Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role  
  
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets  
  
• Proficiency in Python (or Scala/Java) for data processing  
  
• Hands-on experience with Azure data services (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse)  
  
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT)  
  
• Understanding of data modelling and data quality principles  
  
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch
  
• Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent by experience 
  

Nice to have 

• Experience with distributed data processing tools (Spark)  
  
• Familiarity with streaming technologies (Kafka or Event Hubs)  
  
• Knowledge of Delta Lake / Lakehouse architectures  
  
• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices  
  
• Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)  
  
• Understanding of data governance and best practices
