One of our partner is looking for a Senior Cloud Solution Architect for a long term freelance engagement to support the modernisation of its core IT applications towards Microsoft Azure.
 
 
Mission context
 
You will join a multidisciplinary team of functional analysts, developers and project managers responsible for developing and maintaining critical business applications. Your mission: translate the existing on-premises landscape into concrete, robust cloud architectures, while building a solid understanding of the business and regulatory context.
 
The main target technology landing zones are:

• Microsoft Azure: Azure SQL, Container Apps, Key Vault, EntraID, Terraform...
• Data platform: Databricks, PowerBI
• Automation: Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Dataverse)

 
Your responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architectures for hybrid environments (on-premise / cloud), including API and integration patterns
• Translate business and functional requirements into concrete technical architectures
• Assess technical options and clearly articulate their advantages, risks and trade-offs
• Produce, maintain and defend all required architectural documentation
• Act as the bridge between the project team and the cloud, infrastructure and security teams
• Provide active support throughout the implementation phase
• Contribute to multi-year application roadmaps

 
Profile
 
Technical skills

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud architecture
• Experience with .NET C# REST backends and Angular frontends
• Strong background in hybrid on-premises / cloud integrations
• Experience in legacy system modernisation
• Ability to dive into technical details and guide teams during implementation

 
Soft skills

• Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
• Proactive and autonomous approach
• Comfortable making and defending architectural decisions
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
