afarax is looking for a freelance Senior Consultant - Vulnerability, IT Tools & Workplace Management. We need you!
 
The project:
Our client in the banking sector, is seeking an experienced Consultant - Vulnerability, IT Tools & Workplace Management to strengthen their team.
 
Responsibilities:
Vulnerability Management & Endpoint Security

• Proactively analyze, prioritize, and manage vulnerabilities affecting Windows endpoints and workplace environments.
• Translate security findings from the SOC, security teams, and software vendors into concrete technical remediation actions and long-term improvements.
• Advise on mitigation strategies and contribute to strengthening Workplace security processes and controls.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance endpoint security and vulnerability management.

Software Management & Deployment

• Support and optimize software packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management using Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and Patch My PC.
• Improve patch management quality, compliance, and the reliability of software deployments.
• Implement best practices for automation, software governance, and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement & Secure-by-Design

• Integrate security-by-design principles into workplace processes, deployment pipelines, and management tooling.
• Contribute to the development of a mature, standardized, and secure workplace architecture.
• Document standards, procedures, technical improvements, and reusable best practices.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Workplace teams, DBAs, platform teams, security teams, and external vendors.
• Act as the technical point of contact for vulnerability management, patching, and software lifecycle management.
• Operate within an Agile environment with a strong focus on ownership, autonomy, and solution-oriented delivery.

 
Is this you?
 

• Extensive experience managing modern workplace environments, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and endpoint management.
• Strong expertise in software packaging, deployment, SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Patch My PC, and software lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to translate security findings into practical and sustainable technical solutions.
• Senior-level consultant capable of working independently, proactively, and in a structured manner within Agile teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on quality, stability, compliance, and security.
• Hands-on technical profile with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
