We are looking for a Medior Data Engineer / Data Scientist to join an Advanced Analytics team and contribute to a wide range of data-driven and AI initiatives.
The role combines data science, Machine Learning, advanced analytics and generative AI, with projects covering various business areas such as Marketing, e-Commerce, Product, Customer Excellence, Stores, Supply Chain and Procurement.
You will work closely with data, technology and business teams to transform complex datasets into actionable insights and develop innovative AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Data analysis & Machine Learning:
  • Analyze large and complex datasets using advanced statistical and Machine Learning techniques.
  • Identify trends, patterns and opportunities to support data-driven business decisions.
  • Develop, deploy and optimize Machine Learning models.
  • Work on Generative AI and Agentic AI use cases, including AI agents.
  • Continuously evaluate and fine-tune models to improve their performance and business value.
• MLOps:
  • Apply MLOps best practices throughout the Machine Learning lifecycle.
  • Implement model versioning, continuous integration and automated deployment processes.
  • Monitor model performance and ensure the reliability of production models.
  • Contribute to model retraining, maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Data Platform, Data Insights and Business teams to understand requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
  • Present complex technical findings and analytical results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Agile squads and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Innovation & AI:
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in Data Science, Machine Learning and Generative AI.
  • Investigate and experiment with emerging AI technologies.
  • Explore Agentic AI and AI-agent architectures to identify new opportunities and improve data capabilities.
  • Contribute to the adoption of innovative data and AI solutions within the organization.

Required skills & experience

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics or another relevant scientific/business-oriented field.
  
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer or in a closely related role.
  
• Strong experience applying advanced statistics and Machine Learning to real-world business problems.
  
• Ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
  
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly technologies such as:
  
  • Vertex AI
    
  • BigQuery
    
  • Dataform
    
• Understanding of MLOps principles and practices.
  
• Experience working in Agile environments, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from concept through implementation.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.
  
• Fluent in english and proficient in french or dutch.
  

Nice to have:

• Experience with Generative AI.
  
• Experience with Agentic AI / AI Agents.
  
• Experience with GCP agentic AI technologies such as ADK or Model Armor.
