Beschrijving van de functie

The Area Manager - Optical Sector (Dutch native) will have the following responsibilities :

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Sales Representatives, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Drive team performance through goal setting, regular coaching, field accompaniment and ongoing talent development.
• Spend time in the field supporting sales representatives and strengthening key customer relationships.
• Develop and execute the regional commercial strategy to drive revenue growth, market share and profitability.
• Manage sales performance across the region, ensuring effective territory coverage, sales execution and achievement of business targets.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with key customers, identify new business opportunities and support strategic account development.
• Contribute to sales planning, budgeting, pricing recommendations and the continuous improvement of sales processes and CRM tools.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and business performance through KPI tracking, forecasting, reporting and cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Finance and Operations teams.

Jouw profiel

• Proven track record in a similar position
• Strong experience within the optical sector or a comparable technical industry
• Hands-on leader combining commercial vision with operational execution
• On field experience
• Strong focus on performance, accountability, and process improvement
• Comfortable with CRM, forecasting, reporting, and business analytics
• Confident driving change and identifying growth opportunities
• Mature, credible, and inspiring leader with strong stakeholder management skills
